You just got engaged! And now you have the slightly daunting task of organising a wedding in front of you. This means taking decisions.
The first decision you wil have to take is to whether organize it on your own or hire a wedding planner. As you are visiting this website - you are obviously considering to do so. So how would this work?
First, we would set up a meeting. This could be face to face or - if you prefer - also by a Skype video chat.
You do not have have all the details ready. It is mainly to get to know each other and to discuss the rough outline of your wedding.
Questions you should have asked yourself b e f o r e you talk to any wedding planner are the following:
- HOW do you want to get married, civil ceremony or religious? Mind, in some countries (as e.g. the Netherlands) you must have married in a legal ceremony before taking a religious blessing.
-WHERE do you want to hold your wedding? In the Netherlands? Abroad? On the beach (yes, it is possible in Holland !) or in an enchanting castle? Do you prefer a formal or informal setting?
- GUESTS, do you want an intimate wedding celebration with close friends and family or throw a huge party with 500 and more guests?
- BUDGET. This will have an influence on the entire wedding. You do not necessary have to reveal the budget, but have it in the back of your mind.
Within 48 hours of our first meeting you will receive an e-mail from us with a resume of what we have discussed and a quote for our services.
You will be involved in every step of your wedding. Let us say you have decided you want to have your wedding in a small castle situated in a wood surrounding, invite 100 guest and party all night long. We will then pre-select venues for you which fullfil these parameters. Out of the suggested - let us say - 5 venues, you really like the look of two. We will then organize a viewing on location together so you can take the final decision.
All our suggestions will include pricing as quoted by the venues. The same applies to photographers, caterers, florists etc. etc.
After every meeting we have had you will receive a resume from us per mail. This way you can verify everything was addressed and if necessary make amendments or changes. Sometimes, after a good night sleep, the colour scheme you decided on might not sound so attractive anymore... Generally we wait 1-2 days before we proceed to give you time to consider your decisions.
